I am having a local welding shop weld up a custom upper intake for the 3400 sfi engine. It has quite a bit more volume than a stock intake and I am going to be bolting it to modified lower intake for the 3400. The lower intake is completely ported and I'm going to have the welding shop weld on the inner curves of the dogleg at the top so I can grind more out of the intake for a straighter shot of air. The top of the lower intake will have half inch spacers welded to it so the upper intake will clear the fuel rails. The fuel injectors have been replaced with LS1 injectors. Also the throttle body is a 75mm unit with the same connections as the wiring harness for the 3400. I have a rendering of the upper intake to show what the final product might look like, email me and I will email the pic to you. It ill be made from aluminum and may be polished. The machined text on the top is a question as of right now. Email me if you would be interested in buying this intake when it is completed. I do not have a price as of yet, but expect the price to be comparable with most aftermarket parts.
